Alprazolam also passes into breast milk, which means breastfeeding women are also not recommended to take this drug. Tell your doctor about any other conditions that may prevent you from taking this medicine safely. The following ones are very important to mention: breathing problems, kidney disease, a history of depression or suicidal thoughts, glaucoma, liver disease, and a history of addiction to drugs or alcohol. Always let your doctor know if you are allergic to alprazolam or any other medications, as getting an allergic reaction can make your treatment less efficient. Mild side effects of alprazolam do not need to be reported to your health care provider unless they get particularly bothersome.
